Picture
Megan Stearns lives amidst the woods and wildlife of Hinesburg, Vermont with her fiance, dog and cat.

A lifelong artist, Megan's creative pursuits have led her down several different paths. She grew up in a rural town on Long Island, NY and studied ballet seriously for 9 years before heading off to college at the University of Virginia. After graduating with a BA in English, Megan was accepted to the New York Academy for Dramatic Arts, a conservatory program for film and television acting in Manhattan, NY. Two years later, Megan ventured to Los Angeles, where she pursued a career as an actress. In 2007, Megan decided Hollywood was not for her, and decided to delve into fine art in earnest, illustrating a children's educational book on Africa and accepting her first portrait commissions.

Since moving to Vermont in 2009, Megan has worked at the Humane Society of Chittenden County as the Development & Communications Director and currently serves as Creative Director for Let's Grow Kids--a role that provides copious opportunities for artistic expression through graphic design, TV commercials, advertising, and even fine art.

When not at the office, Megan is still an active ballerina and has performed in live and film productions around the state. She still occasionally acts in local television commercials. And of course, she is always working on a new piece of fine art.

If you'd like to inquire about commissioning a work from Megan, please don't hesitate to be in touch.
